It operated as “The Wilmore Bank” for many years before changing the name to The Farmers Bank-Wilmore Branch in the 1950’s. In 2007, a portion of Sunny Side Farm in northern Jessamine County was developed into what is known as the Brannon Crossing shopping center. Farmers Bank was one of the initial businesses included by opening a branch location at the main entrance. In 2008, an opportunity presented itself as land became available just off the west by-pass in Nicholasville. In a matter of months, the Bell Place Branch was constructed.
